Job Description
Role Purpose
Handles all aspects of Software Engineering – business analysis, design, knowledge transfer, programming, testing, test automation and documentation.
Handles more customer and software development centric tasks as compared to document driven.
Key activities
Provide IT support for DHL’s proprietary application software under the IT Team responsibility.
Monitors & fix the IT applications issues for support (incident ticket) based on SLA and ensure users and other interested parties are kept informed proactively.
Negotiates with users, specialists, staff and suppliers in respect of emergencies, routine and unscheduled maintenance and the introduction of amendments to the provision of services to ensure business disruptions are kept to minimal.
Reviews effectiveness and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility and takes action to improve quality of service, performance and availability.
Provides expert advice, training and technical assistance to other teams related to software development process/ solutions.
Actively involved in new systems development, system enhancements and support of DHL applications.
