Huntsman Global Business Services is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Treasury Analyst. The Treasury Analyst position is responsible for handling Treasury processes, daily cash forecasting, and reporting required for asset-backed financing.
The Treasury analyst is responsible for processing, coordinating, and checking outstanding debtor/ creditor positions for the various Huntsman locations in accordance with established procedures, such that debtor and creditor payments are processed in a timely manner and the applicable Huntsman regulations are adhered to.
He or she is to identify and resolve the areas of concern, provide suggestions, and promote potential improvements in the overall process operation.
He or she will primarily be working closely with the various stakeholders in multiple countries globally such as accounting, customer service, credit, purchasing and the tax team to ensure that the services are delivered on time and with quality.
He or she will also be responsible for ensuring that all daily operational tasks performed are in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) control and internal audit guidelines. The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
As a Treasury Analyst you will:
Perform the daily cash forecasting and monitor the cash position.
Manage our bank accounts in the EAME region that include bank mandates updates and opening and closing bank accounts.
Perform the global reporting for the asset-backed financing.
Liaise with banks and businesses on bank guarantees.
Liaise with internal and external counterparties regarding Treasury matters.
Coordinate and control accounts payable payments.
Connecting the bank accounts with the general ledger
Checking and monitoring suspense accounts
Producing various reports
Identifying, investigating, and correcting differences
Ensure that all tasks performed are SOX and internal audit compliant.
Provide support and service requests from the business globally in a timely manner.
Involve yourself in implementing system and procedure changes.
Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Assists other employees in achieving Huntsman company goals.
Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
Participates in environmental, health, and safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent with 2 to 4 years of experience.
Prior work experience in a shared service and accounting environment, preferably responsible for cash forecasting and/or asset-backed financing reporting
Ability to work on tasks and resolve problems that are complex in nature.
Ability to exercise considerable judgement and apply professional concepts, company policies, and procedures to solve routine problems.
Familiarity with SAP would be a plus.
Experience in treasury management systems such as Kyriba would be a plus.
Ability to prioritize and work under tight timelines.
Good writing and communication skills in English. Comfortable working with diversified cultures
Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
