Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain database software.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot problems.
• Implement security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access.
• Back up and restore the database in the event of a disaster.
• Develop and implement database continuity plans.
• Work with other IT staff to ensure that the databases are aligned with the company’s business needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of database administration principles and practices.
• Experience with a variety of database software, including MySQL, MariaDB
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong experience in database replication and clustering.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Ability to design and implement high-availability solutions.
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning.
